The iOS Segmented control iBloc can be used to quickly and easily simulate a typical iOS Segmented control.  You can customize the Theme of the control to iOS6 varients or iOS7.

Key Features

An iOS Segmented control adds the following capabilities to an iRise simulation:

  • Allow apps to have multiple sub-views controlled by using dynamic views

Before you start

  • Download theiPhone 7 Content kitto leverage a wide variety of graphical content in your iPhone simulations (iRise 8.12 required).
  • When building a simulation for an iPhone application, try to get your hands on an actual iPhone to get a feel for how applications work on the physical device. This will help guide the behaviors and interactions you build in your simulation.
  • If you are not familiar with designing iOS applications,do a little researchbefore attempting to build an iPhone simulation.

Usage Tips

  • The width of the ibloc is divided into equal segments dependent on the number of items in the Labels setting.
  • Height is fixed in simulation and so changing the height in Studio has no effect on this ibloc.
  • Select your theme - iOS7 is default.

Basic Usage

  1. Drag the iOS Segmented Control iBloc onto a page
  2. Set your width by dragging or entering a width value.
  3. Set up your segments via the Labels setting. This determines the number of segments and the names that show up in simulation.
  4. Enter the Selected label name - this determines which segment is highlighted when the simulation first runs.
  5. Select a target widget (optional) - this will pass the current value of the control to the widget
  6. Select your theme - iOS7 is default.
  7. Pick custom colors (optional)
  8. Use icons in place of text (optional) uploading icons will replace the text in the segmented control - it is not possible to mix icons and text in the same control - it is one or the other
  1. Known Limitations
    • None
